Our area is rich in geologic and western history. Toadstool Geologic Park is next to the ranch. Over the hills just 4 miles due west is the Hudson/Meng Bison Bone Bed. Agate Fossil Bed is a 45-minute drive away as is the Mammoth Museum. The Fur Trade Museum and Fort Robinson State Park are excellent places to learn about our Western history and the settling of this land.

Scotts Bluff and Chimney Rock National Monument are an hour and 15 minutes away. Mount Rushmore and Rapid City are 2 hours away. Join us and be in the middle of all of these wonderful places!

Near us at Chadron are the following attractions: Museum of the Fur Trade, western author Marie Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center, Dawes County Museum and Chadron State College.

If you go to Crawford make sure you visit our antique stores, fine restaurants and History Museum. At Fort Robinson, see the beautiful buildings covering 47 years of military history starting in 1868. Two fine museums are housed there, one dealing with the Fort and area history, the other Trailside Museum houses a world-class find of two Columbian Mammoths found interlocked just 6 miles from our ranch. The museum has many other precious fossils that explain our rich geologic history.

Agate Fossil Beds, just an hour south, continue to relate the history of the western Indian and fossil remains.
