Our Heritage Guest Ranch and Wolharts’ High Plains Homestead are teaming up once again to offer an artist workshops and photo shoots for artists in July and August. Artists and photographers are welcome to partake in these two late summer events.
The workshops are scheduled for July 8-11 and July 31-August 3.
Artists and photographers will be invited to enrich their creative endeavors by joining us in beautiful Northwest Nebraska. Since this will be our inaugural annual event, the initial 20 artists who respond will have the opportunity to create the foundational, personalized lessons in various media.
This area of Northwest Nebraska offers artists originality in a place almost entirely uncontaminated by humans. There are a few remnants left behind of pioneer days that mark the history of the area. The beauty of the Oglala National Grasslands, Pine Ridge Region, and Badlands have been kept serene and wild.
We have diverse natural beauty, wildlife, livestock, old-fashioned town and we use cattle ranch with the ponds and a sod home as subject matters for our masterpieces. All of these attributes and the hosts will help make this an authentic, genuine escape for any artist looking for western sights.
The 20 artists and photographers who respond to each session on a first-come-first-serve basis will have lodging, food and transportation to desired locations included in the package.
